Time for another slice, whether you like it or not. In the mid 19 hundreds, a battle was brewing between human beings and electronic machines. A new kind of criminal robot was sweeping the nation, and these metallic menaces were seen as an existential threat to the very fabric of society. We're talking, of course, about pinball machines.

Speaker C:

In New York, Mayor LaGuardia was a.

Speaker B:

Fierce opponent of these renegade robots. In Chicago, Mayor Daley smashed several of them personally with a sledgehammer. And in Los Angeles, police chief William Parker started a special squad to target pinball parlors, dragging the machines out into the streets and destroying them in public demonstrations. Today we're going down, down into these deep dens of sin, vice and debauchery. We're entering a real life pinball arcade.

Speaker C:

But be warned, what you're about to.

Speaker B:

Hear may be disturbing for some listeners.

It.

Speaker D:

All right, thank you for tuning in.

Speaker B:

Until next time, this is the radiograph, and we'll see you at the pinball parlor right across from the really good food court.
